Things you're missing by Partner-in-crime Things you're missing by Partner-in-crime
I had missed home. A lot. Got taken on such an amazing drive around the north of the country and took loads of lovely photos to look at when I miss it.

I missed him. A lot. Had so much fun talking about old times, laughing and having "a bit of craic". Took a pic and accidentally caught us both half hung out the window. I love it.

When I was studying Classics in school my teacher (a mad crazy lady who was soooo passionate about her subject) told us the meaning of Nostalgia - as we were studying Homer at the time (The Odyssey to be exact)

Nostalgia roughly translates to "pain of the past". And at the time I was like mmm I don't really get what she means but let me tell you I do now.
Being around all these guys who're talking about competing and doing things I was doing years ago feels like a knife to the guts. I find myself at times daydreaming about things that have happened with old teammates.
Even things about home as well. They talk about going home at weekends and how "luck" I am to be away from my home and parents so much, even being out of the country so much. And while I do love it, I long to be home in places I love with people who love me.

This has turned into a rather weird A/C
I think I'll leave it here anyways

Much Love
Thankies for the Faves :]

Nostalgia is a powerful emotion. But not a negative one, I'd say. :)

It's us remembering good moments, not a bad thing at all.

This is indeed beautiful. Reminds me of where I grew up, except greener. I'd have to travel a little to see hills like these, but still, it bears a resemblance.

And thanks for sharing the ramble.  It's sometimes good to just say it as it comes. Cathartic, even :)

They were looking a little yellow which was quite funny. It hadn't rained the whole week I was home and as soon as I left it was chucking it down again haha.

I'm glad someone appreciates it- sometimes I feel like a right nut.

Thanks for the nice comment x

Pleasure.  Funny how one man's green is another woman's "a little yellow"! And what's wrong with being a right nut, I'd like to know :)?
